The Bay Meets the Desert -Seascape from Start to Finish

Painting large is great exercise. This new 48 x 60 Seascape was challenging but fun and is filled with life. It's inspired by a combination of the San Francisco Bay and a recent trip to Death Valley National Park. Inspiration comes in many forms and I'm finding you can't always control it or make things happen.
They just naturally evolve.

A Visit to the Desert for Inspiration

Darwin Falls 11 x 14
Panamint Springs 14 x 11

Furnace Creek 16 x 16
I had the pleasure of driving with my family to Death Valley National Park this holiday season. It was like visiting another planet and if you like rocks.... WOW! I love neutral colors and it was a learning experience to be so absorbed in them. These are some recent paintings inspired by the trip. I can't wait to go again next year.
